Quick Start Guide
Updated 2 months ago
Get your Gratona account ready for donors in four steps: set up your profile and organization, configure email settings, connect a payment gateway, and create your first program. For the full walkthrough that also covers website embed and core menus, use First-Time Setup.
1. Set up your profile and organization
Configure your organization identity, account defaults, and the email sender address donors will see. Start with Profile to update your personal admin profile, then complete Account Information for organization name, contact details, logo, base currency, date format, and timezone. Choose your base currency before you accept donations — after the account has donations, that field is disabled.
2. Configure email settings
Set the from email address and from name used for donor-facing email, and verify your organization's sending domain so email providers recognize the sender. See Email Settings.
3. Connect a payment gateway
Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, select Organization settings, then Payment gateways. Gratona supports Stripe, PayPal, Flutterwave, QPayPro, and Authorize.net. You can use one credit card gateway at a time, and PayPal can run alongside it. See Payment Gateways for the full provider overview.
4. Create your first program
Open Programs and choose Recipients for a sponsorship program, or use a Campaign when you are raising money for a cause or fund. New accounts may already include starter programs such as Child Sponsorship and General Campaign — you can finish those or create a new one. See First-Time Setup for the complete program creation walkthrough.
What success looks like
Your quick start is complete when your organization profile is saved, a payment gateway is connected, your first program shows required readiness items complete, and you can preview the public page and copy a public link or embed code.
What to do next
Share or embed the donor page, invite teammates from admins and permissions, import historical data if you are migrating, and review the dashboard for ongoing readiness and priority actions.
