Gifts & recurring giving overview
Updated 2 weeks ago
Use Gratona to record, process, and report on financial contributions across your fundraising work.
Gift records can represent one-time donations, recurring gifts, campaign contributions, event gifts, program support, or payments associated with an ongoing commitment. Sponsorship payments are one supported use case, not a separate accounting model.
What you can manage
Gift history: Review each donor's contributions and the purpose, campaign, program, or designation connected to them.
Recurring giving: Track ongoing schedules, payment status, and related donor commitments.
Payment processing: Connect supported gateways and reconcile successful or failed transactions.
Receipts and acknowledgments: Trigger the appropriate donor follow-up after a gift.
Reporting: Analyze revenue, retention, campaigns, funds, programs, and giving trends.
Before importing historical gifts, confirm your campaign, program, designation, payment method, and external-ID mappings. Clean mappings make later reporting more reliable.
When one check covers several sponsorships or multiple recipients, record each sponsorship's portion with its Add payment action, or use Add donation with Split Donation for an additional gift. See How do I record one check for multiple sponsorships?
